The Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) has purchased our Plume Detection Toolbox (PDT) software for sediment concentration measurements. The BWDB has already begun measuring discharge and current velocities with ADCPs (Teledyne RD Instruments) at several locations along the expansive Padma River delta. The addition of the PDT software allows them to simultaneously measure sediment concentration, fluxes and currents. In April of this year Aqua Vision journeyed to Bangladesh to train a group of BWDB specialists to perform ADCP sediment measurements. Several days of theory and software training were combined with training during real-time field measurements on the Padma river.
