By order of Waterschap Drents Overijsselse Delta Aqua Vision has carried out current velocity and erosion measurements at two inlets to a natural retention basin (Wetering Oost – West). During high water periods these inlets have to be able to withstand the high amount of discharge that is being let through. With the aid of a RiverPro ADCP current velocities and the amount and location of soil erosion is accurately measured. This data will be used for verification of the input parameters that were used for the design of the inlets.
