The last few decades a decreasing level of the river bed and water level of the river Boven-Rijn has been observed. This process has an undesired effect on several river functions. To prevent a further degradation of the river bed Rijkswaterstaat has started a project to study the effect of a sediment suppletion measure. To monitor the effect of this measure Aqua Vision is performing river discharge measurements with an ADCP survey vessel on several transects near Lobith during a prescribed water level for the years 2016-2018.
